Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Travel & Leisure, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which rose 2.31% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) added 2.23% or 0.04 points to end at 1.92 and DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) was up 1.88% or 1.90 points to 103.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC), which fell 4.44% or 2.42 points to trade at 52.04 at the close. Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) declined 3.05% or 0.88 points to end at 28.02 and Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY) was down 2.05% or 1.30 points to 62.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 286 to 183 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.80% or 0.56 to $69.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.72% or 0.53 to hit $73.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.90 to trade at $2,524.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 101.32.
