Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Travel & Leisure, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 1.41% or 0.31 points to trade at 22.24 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 1.09% or 0.34 points to end at 31.04 and Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) was up 0.98% or 0.14 points to 14.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which fell 3.33% or 0.54 points to trade at 15.63 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) declined 2.86% or 0.25 points to end at 8.50 and Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) was down 2.11% or 0.12 points to 5.57.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 254 to 219 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.33% or 0.54 to 15.63.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.68% or 1.30 to $75.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.54% or 1.24 to hit $79.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 5.75 to trade at $2,422.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 104.37.
