Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY), which rose 3.95% or 2.28 points to trade at 60.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) added 1.15% or 0.12 points to end at 10.56 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 0.99% or 0.22 points to 22.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which fell 2.25% or 0.88 points to trade at 38.21 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) declined 1.81% or 0.16 points to end at 8.49 and Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI) was down 1.80% or 0.43 points to 23.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 294 to 185 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.81% or 0.16 to 8.49.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.21% or 1.00 to $81.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.29% or 1.11 to hit $84.64 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 5.10 to trade at $2,368.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 104.84.
