Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (MI:STM), which rose 2.26% or 0.345 points to trade at 15.605 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI) added 0.96% or 0.021 points to end at 2.213 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was up 0.57% or 0.0760 points to 13.4160 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which fell 5.01% or 0.2380 points to trade at 4.5130 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) declined 4.60% or 0.35 points to end at 7.25 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) was down 2.57% or 0.262 points to 9.928.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 193 to 173 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.26% or 1.59 to $68.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.69% or 1.35 to hit $78.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.00 to trade at $1208.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.1677, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8909.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 94.60.
