Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which rose 1.97% or 0.45 points to trade at 23.24 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) added 0.86% or 0.180 points to end at 21.160 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was up 0.74% or 0.1200 points to 16.3500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which fell 7.53% or 0.220 points to trade at 2.700 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) declined 4.38% or 0.178 points to end at 3.890 and Mediaset (MI:MS) was down 3.93% or 0.120 points to 2.930.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 265 to 107 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.45% or 0.26 to $56.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $63.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 10.76 to trade at $1286.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1590, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.8843.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 94.77.
