Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI), which rose 4.84% or 1.25 points to trade at 27.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediobanca Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA (BIT:MDBI) added 2.46% or 0.35 points to end at 14.80 and DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) was up 2.05% or 2.15 points to 107.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which fell 3.88% or 0.98 points to trade at 24.17 at the close. Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY) declined 3.30% or 2.08 points to end at 60.92 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) was down 2.74% or 0.16 points to 5.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 327 to 193 and 44 ended unchanged.
Shares in Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.84% or 1.25 to 27.06. Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.74% or 0.16 to 5.75.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.82% or 1.25 to $67.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.58% or 1.15 to hit $71.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 5.60 to trade at $2,567.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.52% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 106.51.
