Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Financials and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (MI:STM), which rose 2.52% or 0.380 points to trade at 15.460 at the close. Meanwhile, Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) added 1.71% or 0.47 points to end at 27.90 and Luxottica Group (MI:LUX) was up 1.66% or 0.80 points to 48.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which fell 6.91% or 6.75 points to trade at 91.00 at the close. Exor NV (MI:EXOR) declined 3.55% or 1.90 points to end at 51.55 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was down 2.60% or 0.080 points to 3.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 208 to 155 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.52% or 0.380 to 15.460.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $49.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.28% or 0.15 to hit $54.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 13.58 to trade at $1352.58 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.81% to 1.2014, while EUR/GBP rose 0.54% to 0.9186.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 91.56.
