Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Travel & Leisure and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 1.35% or 0.224 points to trade at 16.804 at the close. Meanwhile, Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) added 1.22% or 0.09 points to end at 7.13 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) was up 1.14% or 0.09 points to 7.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which fell 3.51% or 0.72 points to trade at 19.91 at the close. Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP) declined 1.62% or 0.040 points to end at 2.424 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was down 1.59% or 0.2260 points to 13.9440.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 196 to 148 and 42 ended unchanged.
Shares in Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.62% or 0.040 to 2.424. Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) rose to all time highs; up 1.14% or 0.09 to 7.54.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.09% or 0.06 to $67.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.67% or 0.49 to hit $72.41 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.92% or 11.30 to trade at $1216.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1607, while EUR/GBP rose 0.36% to 0.8938.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 95.23.
