Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Generali (MI:BGN), which rose 3.77% or 0.72 points to trade at 19.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI) added 1.75% or 0.035 points to end at 2.016 and Mediaset SpA (MI:MS) was up 1.54% or 0.041 points to 2.710 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which fell 3.72% or 3.56 points to trade at 92.20 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) declined 3.51% or 0.129 points to end at 3.549 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was down 2.93% or 0.90 points to 29.83.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 188 to 163 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.96% or 1.01 to $50.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.72% or 1.04 to hit $59.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.83% or 10.20 to trade at $1218.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.1285, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8861.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 97.355.
