Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which rose 3.61% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Snam SpA (BIT:SRG) added 0.80% or 0.03 points to end at 4.16 and Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) was up 0.79% or 0.11 points to 14.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which fell 2.92% or 0.65 points to trade at 21.64 at the close. Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) declined 2.64% or 0.01 points to end at 0.22 and Interpump Group (BIT:ITPG) was down 2.57% or 1.10 points to 41.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 326 to 160 and 47 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.60% or 0.49 to $81.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.67% or 0.57 to hit $84.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 8.15 to trade at $2,336.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 105.35.
