Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Hera (BIT:HRA), which rose 1.36% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) added 1.31% or 0.15 points to end at 11.64 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 0.95% or 0.23 points to 24.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which fell 2.58% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.23 at the close. Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) declined 2.55% or 0.16 points to end at 6.03 and Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) was down 2.49% or 2.35 points to 91.85.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 268 to 219 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.95% or 0.23 to 24.40.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.38% or 1.80 to $77.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.12% or 1.69 to hit $81.31 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 1.65 to trade at $2,326.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.45% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.82.
