Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Atlantia (MI:ATL), which rose 2.82% or 0.74 points to trade at 26.94 at the close. Meanwhile, A2A (MI:A2) added 1.43% or 0.022 points to end at 1.556 and Enel (MI:ENEI) was up 1.32% or 0.070 points to 5.370 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which fell 4.15% or 0.810 points to trade at 18.730 at the close. Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) declined 2.39% or 0.45 points to end at 18.37 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was down 2.03% or 0.29 points to 13.99.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 208 to 144 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.93% or 0.60 to $63.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.65% or 1.16 to hit $69.10 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1335.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.2243, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8890.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 90.35.
