Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Chemicals and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 3.63% or 0.74 points to trade at 21.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) added 1.98% or 0.51 points to end at 26.33 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) was up 1.65% or 0.03 points to 2.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG), which fell 2.67% or 0.24 points to trade at 8.75 at the close. Pirelli & C SPA (BIT:PIRC) declined 2.43% or 0.13 points to end at 5.21 and Recordati (BIT:RECI) was down 2.27% or 1.16 points to 49.94.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 276 to 214 and 48 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.33% or 0.23 to $70.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.26% or 0.19 to hit $73.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 17.65 to trade at $2,672.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 101.25.
