Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Technology and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 1.81% or 0.054 points to trade at 3.030 at the close. Meanwhile, FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) added 1.79% or 0.17 points to end at 9.94 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was up 1.57% or 0.0640 points to 4.1500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which fell 2.12% or 0.50 points to trade at 23.14 at the close. Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) declined 1.72% or 1.70 points to end at 97.25 and Atlantia (MI:ATL) was down 1.33% or 0.36 points to 26.78.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 191 to 171 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) rose to all time highs; up 1.79% or 0.17 to 9.94.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.29% or 0.82 to $64.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.20% or 0.83 to hit $69.86 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.50 to trade at $1337.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.2283, while EUR/GBP rose 0.22% to 0.8787.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 90.02.
