Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 6.92% or 0.740 points to trade at 11.440 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) added 0.76% or 0.055 points to end at 7.255 and Atlantia (MI:ATL) was up 0.74% or 0.20 points to 27.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII), which fell 1.87% or 0.092 points to trade at 4.824 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 1.83% or 0.0600 points to end at 3.2200 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was down 1.58% or 0.38 points to 23.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 208 to 138 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.77% or 0.86 to $47.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.80% or 0.95 to hit $51.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.17 to trade at $1294.77 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1810, while EUR/GBP rose 0.22% to 0.9153.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 93.05.
