Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which rose 2.22% or 0.85 points to trade at 38.92 at the close. Meanwhile, FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (BIT:FBK) added 1.30% or 0.19 points to end at 14.82 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) was up 1.28% or 0.11 points to 8.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amplifon (BIT:AMPF), which fell 6.49% or 2.16 points to trade at 31.12 at the close. Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) declined 3.08% or 0.01 points to end at 0.23 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) was down 1.93% or 0.10 points to 4.84.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 243 to 240 and 57 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.39% or 0.33 to $84.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.23% or 0.20 to hit $87.63 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.07% or 25.35 to trade at $2,394.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 104.63.
