Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 0.99% or 0.032 points to trade at 3.260 at the close. Meanwhile, Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP) added 0.85% or 0.024 points to end at 2.864 and Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) was up 0.70% or 0.050 points to 7.190 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which fell 1.22% or 0.24 points to trade at 19.47 at the close. Banca Generali (MI:BGN) declined 1.04% or 0.30 points to end at 28.50 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was down 0.97% or 0.11 points to 11.22.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 236 to 117 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tenaris (MI:TENR) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.97% or 0.11 to 11.22.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.43% or 1.64 to $46.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.29% or 0.67 to hit $51.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.10% or 14.23 to trade at $1312.13 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.1976, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.9264.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.18.
