Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.20% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were ENI (MI:ENI), which rose 1.52% or 0.22 points to trade at 14.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) added 1.46% or 0.105 points to end at 7.290 and Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) was up 1.25% or 0.120 points to 9.690 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which fell 2.21% or 0.066 points to trade at 2.920 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) declined 1.88% or 0.078 points to end at 4.068 and Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) was down 1.76% or 0.260 points to 14.490.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 257 to 116 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.25% or 0.120 to 9.690.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.33% or 0.19 to $57.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.79% or 0.51 to hit $63.76 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 6.17 to trade at $1275.43 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1573, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8803.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 94.93.
