Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Juventus Football Club (MI:JUVE), which rose 2.41% or 0.0360 points to trade at 1.5310 at the close. Meanwhile, UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) added 1.65% or 0.1720 points to end at 10.5780 and Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) was up 0.93% or 0.070 points to 7.598 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Exor NV (MI:EXOR), which fell 1.68% or 0.92 points to trade at 53.68 at the close. Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) declined 1.61% or 1.58 points to end at 96.84 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was down 1.60% or 0.50 points to 30.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 202 to 155 and 38 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.58% or 0.84 to $52.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.46% or 0.90 to hit $60.60 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1284.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1395, while EUR/GBP fell 0.58% to 0.8714.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 95.713.
