Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 2.35% or 0.33 points to trade at 14.35 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 1.57% or 0.57 points to end at 36.88 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI) was up 1.37% or 0.13 points to 9.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU), which fell 3.66% or 3.55 points to trade at 93.50 at the close. Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT:TRN) declined 1.66% or 0.12 points to end at 7.22 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) was down 1.65% or 0.08 points to 4.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 258 to 214 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.10% or 0.08 to $81.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.11% or 0.09 to hit $85.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 4.25 to trade at $2,340.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 105.54.
