Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which rose 1.80% or 0.40 points to trade at 22.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Recordati (MI:RECI) added 1.51% or 0.55 points to end at 37.00 and Banca Generali (MI:BGN) was up 0.79% or 0.22 points to 27.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which fell 1.97% or 0.084 points to trade at 4.190 at the close. UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) declined 1.61% or 0.2600 points to end at 15.9200 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was down 1.32% or 0.39 points to 29.26.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 218 to 139 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.22% or 0.13 to $58.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $64.98 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 7.60 to trade at $1278.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.1839, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8850.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 93.00.
