Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which rose 5.06% or 0.1880 points to trade at 3.9000 at the close. Meanwhile, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) added 3.13% or 0.560 points to end at 18.430 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was up 2.90% or 0.44 points to 15.61 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salvatore Ferragamo SpA (MI:SFER), which fell 3.43% or 0.86 points to trade at 24.24 at the close. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 2.57% or 1.05 points to end at 39.84 and Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) was down 2.25% or 0.184 points to 7.998.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 181 to 178 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.75% or 1.13 to $65.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.22% or 1.67 to hit $77.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1302.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.1817, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8801.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 93.36.
