Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI), which rose 1.95% or 0.18 points to trade at 9.41 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) added 1.67% or 0.03 points to end at 1.83 and Italgas SpA (BIT:IG) was up 1.46% or 0.08 points to 5.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mediobanca Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA (BIT:MDBI), which fell 1.64% or 0.25 points to trade at 14.69 at the close. Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) declined 1.55% or 0.43 points to end at 27.37 and Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) was down 1.16% or 0.07 points to 6.31.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 268 to 198 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.11% or 1.39 to $67.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.65% or 1.14 to hit $70.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $2,543.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.67.
