Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI), which rose 2.47% or 0.18 points to trade at 7.69 at the close. Meanwhile, Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) added 2.19% or 0.20 points to end at 9.32 and Terna (MI:TRN) was up 1.97% or 0.096 points to 4.959 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prysmian (MI:PRY), which fell 2.74% or 0.46 points to trade at 16.14 at the close. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 2.59% or 0.0680 points to end at 2.5600 and Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) was down 1.81% or 0.062 points to 3.356.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 206 to 152 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.59% or 0.0680 to 2.5600.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.58% or 0.33 to $56.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.41% or 0.27 to hit $66.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.92% or 23.00 to trade at $1222.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.77% to 1.1415, while EUR/GBP rose 0.20% to 0.8888.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 96.31.
