Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI), which rose 3.65% or 0.25 points to trade at 7.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediaset SpA (MI:MS) added 2.38% or 0.066 points to end at 2.840 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) was up 1.77% or 0.083 points to 4.772 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which fell 2.13% or 2.20 points to trade at 100.95 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 2.08% or 0.0970 points to end at 4.5650 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) was down 1.83% or 0.31 points to 16.59.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 215 to 135 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.22% or 1.40 to $61.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.06% or 1.51 to hit $71.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1228.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1423, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8725.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.07.
