Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 2.71% or 0.280 points to trade at 10.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP) added 1.59% or 0.044 points to end at 2.812 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was up 1.32% or 0.0090 points to 0.6915 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Italgas SpA (MI:IG), which fell 2.64% or 0.140 points to trade at 5.160 at the close. STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) declined 2.62% or 0.550 points to end at 20.420 and Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) was down 2.44% or 0.170 points to 6.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 202 to 166 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.90% or 1.08 to $57.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.74% or 0.46 to hit $63.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 9.00 to trade at $1290.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.40% to 1.1785, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.8869.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 93.45.
