Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 3.26% or 0.37 points to trade at 11.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) added 3.17% or 0.0980 points to end at 3.1900 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was up 1.90% or 0.51 points to 27.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which fell 2.28% or 0.072 points to trade at 3.084 at the close. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 2.16% or 0.0840 points to end at 3.8100 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was down 1.80% or 0.3100 points to 16.9200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 193 to 164 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.07% or 1.45 to $48.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.10% or 1.10 to hit $53.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.99% or 13.18 to trade at $1343.58 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.1922, while EUR/GBP fell 0.53% to 0.9153.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 92.23.
