Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 2.81%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 3.65% or 0.53 points to trade at 15.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlantia (MI:ATL) added 2.96% or 0.80 points to end at 27.85 and Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) was up 2.27% or 0.204 points to 9.186 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI), which fell 2.60% or 0.1000 points to trade at 3.7400 at the close. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 2.42% or 0.073 points to end at 2.964 and Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) was down 2.16% or 0.103 points to 4.659.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 212 to 148 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.73% or 1.64 to $61.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.53% or 1.61 to hit $65.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 3.20 to trade at $1324.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.2324, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8890.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 90.00.
