Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.76%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC), which rose 4.78% or 0.28 points to trade at 6.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 3.92% or 0.63 points to end at 16.70 and Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) was up 3.84% or 0.288 points to 7.780 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which fell 1.65% or 0.0082 points to trade at 0.4899 at the close. Mediaset SpA (MI:MS) declined 0.71% or 0.018 points to end at 2.532 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was down 0.62% or 0.075 points to 12.080.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 240 to 128 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.62% or 0.075 to 12.080.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.67% or 0.45 to $67.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.49% or 0.37 to hit $76.54 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.20 to trade at $1232.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.1372, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.8870.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 96.41.
