Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.62%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem (MI:SPMI), which rose 5.13% or 0.0182 points to trade at 0.3729 at the close. Meanwhile, Campari (MI:CPRI) added 4.91% or 0.47 points to end at 10.04 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was up 4.06% or 0.86 points to 22.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unipol (MI:UNPI), which fell 1.32% or 0.032 points to trade at 2.386 at the close. UBI Banca (MI:UBI) declined 0.82% or 0.0180 points to end at 2.1740 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was down 0.32% or 0.05 points to 15.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 315 to 84 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Campari (MI:CPRI) rose to all time highs; rising 4.91% or 0.47 to 10.04.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.36% or 1.07 to $46.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.77% or 0.83 to hit $47.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.04% or 13.85 to trade at $1345.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1226, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8581.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 95.18.
