Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.48% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 5.52% or 0.78 points to trade at 14.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) added 5.34% or 0.2650 points to end at 5.2280 and Mediaset SpA (MI:MS) was up 4.34% or 0.114 points to 2.738 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prysmian (MI:PRY), which fell 1.38% or 0.29 points to trade at 20.72 at the close. Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) declined 0.77% or 0.09 points to end at 11.65 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was down 0.46% or 0.0026 points to 0.5580.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 214 to 151 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.34% or 0.2650 to 5.2280.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.01% or 0.01 to $72.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.81% or 0.65 to hit $81.18 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 1.90 to trade at $1206.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1772, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 93.69.
