Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 8.15% or 0.800 points to trade at 10.620 at the close. Meanwhile, Exor NV (MI:EXOR) added 4.20% or 2.10 points to end at 52.10 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was up 3.23% or 0.1260 points to 4.0260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to trade at 6.110 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 0.34% or 0.04 points to end at 11.70 and ENI (MI:ENI) was up 0.38% or 0.05 points to 13.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 253 to 87 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.50% or 0.73 to $48.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.73% or 0.90 to hit $51.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.17 to trade at $1290.83 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.1787, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.9080.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 93.25.
