Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which rose 4.12% or 0.7100 points to trade at 17.9600 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) added 2.96% or 0.082 points to end at 2.854 and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) was up 2.69% or 0.390 points to 14.890 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atlantia (MI:ATL), which fell 0.68% or 0.19 points to trade at 27.75 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 0.59% or 0.0200 points to end at 3.3460 and Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) was down 0.49% or 0.035 points to 7.120.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 248 to 100 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.71% or 0.97 to $57.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.14% or 1.33 to hit $63.53 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.50 to trade at $1250.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1765, while EUR/GBP rose 0.72% to 0.8800.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 93.92.
