Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.42%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which rose 3.28% or 1.33 points to trade at 41.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) added 3.00% or 11.50 points to end at 394.40 and A2A SpA (BIT:A2) was up 2.86% or 0.05 points to 1.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which unchanged 2.11% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.22 at the close. Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) declined 1.93% or 0.45 points to end at 22.86 and Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) was down 0.97% or 0.14 points to 14.81.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 322 to 194 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.59% or 0.46 to $78.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.57% or 0.47 to hit $82.39 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.04% or 24.20 to trade at $2,350.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.00% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.23% at 103.90.
