Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which rose 3.52% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) added 3.33% or 0.15 points to end at 4.53 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) was up 3.04% or 0.14 points to 4.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC), which fell 2.67% or 1.58 points to trade at 57.58 at the close. Pirelli & C SPA (BIT:PIRC) declined 1.25% or 0.07 points to end at 5.86 and Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) was down 0.52% or 0.06 points to 10.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 318 to 175 and 48 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.73% or 0.58 to $80.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.77% or 0.65 to hit $84.90 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.61% or 14.20 to trade at $2,343.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.88.
