Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 2.97% or 0.320 points to trade at 11.105 at the close. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 2.83% or 0.0222 points to end at 0.8054 and Generali (MI:GASI) was up 2.51% or 0.38 points to 15.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atlantia (MI:ATL), which fell 2.33% or 0.62 points to trade at 26.00 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 0.87% or 0.12 points to end at 14.27 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) was down 0.44% or 0.021 points to 4.730.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 225 to 126 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.38% or 0.23 to $61.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.26% or 0.17 to hit $65.06 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 8.70 to trade at $1316.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.2315, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 90.06.
