Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US), which rose 3.82% or 0.054 points to trade at 1.469 at the close. Meanwhile, Unipol (MI:UNPI) added 3.24% or 0.076 points to end at 2.424 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) was up 2.82% or 0.094 points to 3.426 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which fell 0.46% or 0.07 points to trade at 15.06 at the close. Snam (MI:SRG) declined 0.30% or 0.015 points to end at 5.000 and Italcementi (MI:ITAI) was down 0.09% or 0.010 points to 10.570.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 266 to 133 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.04% or 0.49 to $46.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.35% or 0.67 to hit $48.78 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.54% or 7.15 to trade at $1319.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1148, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8519.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 96.01.
