Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.14% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which rose 7.71% or 8.15 points to trade at 113.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) added 3.24% or 0.602 points to end at 19.190 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) was up 3.15% or 1.94 points to 63.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which fell 2.27% or 0.83 points to trade at 35.67 at the close. Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) declined 0.45% or 0.11 points to end at 24.60 and Generali (MI:GASI) was down 0.24% or 0.04 points to 16.78.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 224 to 112 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) rose to all time highs; rising 7.71% or 8.15 to 113.80.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.97% or 1.35 to $69.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.67% or 1.23 to hit $74.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1312.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.1944, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8827.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 92.51.
