Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian (MI:PRY), which rose 5.76% or 1.40 points to trade at 25.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) added 3.67% or 4.50 points to end at 127.20 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was up 2.75% or 0.1040 points to 3.8800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which fell 1.20% or 0.1760 points to trade at 14.5200 at the close. Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) declined 1.02% or 0.084 points to end at 8.166 and Salvatore Ferragamo SpA (MI:SFER) was down 0.52% or 0.13 points to 25.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 236 to 130 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) rose to all time highs; up 3.67% or 4.50 to 127.20.
Crude oil for July delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $66.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.89% or 0.68 to hit $76.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.90 to trade at $1307.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.42% to 1.1623, while EUR/GBP fell 0.78% to 0.8747.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.08% at 94.57.
