Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 3.24% or 0.66 points to trade at 21.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Recordati (BIT:RECI) added 2.95% or 1.55 points to end at 54.10 and A2A SpA (BIT:A2) was up 2.74% or 0.06 points to 2.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amplifon (BIT:AMPF), which fell 0.84% or 0.23 points to trade at 27.18 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) declined 0.58% or 0.03 points to end at 5.83 and DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) was down 0.58% or 0.60 points to 103.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 303 to 204 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Recordati (BIT:RECI) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.95% or 1.55 to 54.10. Shares in A2A SpA (BIT:A2) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.74% or 0.06 to 2.14.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.29% or 1.73 to $73.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.14% or 1.69 to hit $77.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 13.10 to trade at $2,663.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 103.04.
