Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.02% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI), which rose 6.70% or 0.236 points to trade at 3.756 at the close. Meanwhile, Exor NV (MI:EXOR) added 4.18% or 2.15 points to end at 53.55 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was up 3.67% or 0.26 points to 7.21 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which fell 0.09% or 0.01 points to trade at 11.59 at the close. Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) declined 0.07% or 0.010 points to end at 14.710 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) was up 0.29% or 0.01 points to 4.77.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 282 to 91 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.43% or 0.68 to $48.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $53.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.01% or 13.69 to trade at $1337.51 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.1963, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.9076.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 91.83.
