Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 3.35% or 0.49 points to trade at 15.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) added 3.33% or 0.1680 points to end at 5.2140 and ENI (MI:ENI) was up 2.63% or 0.42 points to 16.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which fell 2.00% or 0.072 points to trade at 3.537 at the close. Atlantia (MI:ATL) declined 1.36% or 0.24 points to end at 17.40 and Prysmian (MI:PRY) was down 1.09% or 0.20 points to 18.59.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 190 to 175 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.00% or 0.072 to 3.537. Shares in Prysmian (MI:PRY) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.09% or 0.20 to 18.59.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.62% or 0.46 to $74.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.92% or 0.77 to hit $84.68 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.00 to trade at $1191.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1485, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8742.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.43.
