Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian (MI:PRY), which rose 4.66% or 0.95 points to trade at 21.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Exor NV (MI:EXOR) added 3.37% or 1.88 points to end at 57.70 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was up 3.33% or 0.1060 points to 3.2920 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mediaset (MI:MS), which fell 4.56% or 0.131 points to trade at 2.740 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 0.25% or 0.04 points to end at 15.71 and UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) was down 0.21% or 0.004 points to 1.893.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 256 to 109 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mediaset (MI:MS) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.56% or 0.131 to 2.740.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.97% or 0.71 to $74.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.96% or 1.52 to hit $79.13 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.40 to trade at $1254.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.94% to 1.1677, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.8850.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.75% at 94.29.
