Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which rose 7.36% or 0.328 points to trade at 4.783 at the close. Meanwhile, Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 4.85% or 0.72 points to end at 15.69 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was up 3.66% or 0.1340 points to 3.7960 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which fell 2.42% or 0.410 points to trade at 16.498 at the close. STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) declined 1.51% or 0.310 points to end at 20.160 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was down 1.19% or 1.45 points to 120.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 233 to 119 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 4.53% or 2.97 to $68.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.48% or 1.81 to hit $74.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1270.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.1650, while EUR/GBP rose 0.21% to 0.8781.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 94.27.
