Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which rose 6.75% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:BAMI) added 2.94% or 0.17 points to end at 5.96 and UniCredit SpA (BIT:CRDI) was up 2.88% or 1.04 points to 37.19 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hera (BIT:HRA), which fell 1.67% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.53 at the close. ERG (BIT:ERG) declined 1.03% or 0.26 points to end at 24.90 and Snam SpA (BIT:SRG) was down 0.96% or 0.04 points to 4.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 290 to 190 and 39 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.13% or 2.11 to $69.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.66% or 1.88 to hit $72.49 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.48% or 37.60 to trade at $2,580.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 101.49.
