Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Mediaset (MI:MS), which rose 3.48% or 0.095 points to trade at 2.825 at the close. Meanwhile, Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) added 2.77% or 0.33 points to end at 12.25 and Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) was up 1.99% or 0.182 points to 9.308 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Recordati (MI:RECI), which fell 2.24% or 0.69 points to trade at 30.05 at the close. Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) declined 0.49% or 0.10 points to end at 20.49 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was down 0.41% or 0.07 points to 15.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 203 to 141 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.07% or 0.05 to $67.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.45% or 0.32 to hit $72.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.97% or 12.00 to trade at $1227.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.1658, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8872.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 94.75.
