Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Mediaset SpA (MI:MS), which rose 4.36% or 0.116 points to trade at 2.777 at the close. Meanwhile, Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 3.47% or 0.59 points to end at 17.75 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was up 3.25% or 0.435 points to 13.835 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which fell 3.41% or 0.1650 points to trade at 4.6700 at the close. ENI (MI:ENI) declined 1.78% or 0.28 points to end at 15.43 and Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) was down 0.74% or 0.05 points to 6.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 210 to 115 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.80% or 1.83 to $63.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.46% or 2.61 to hit $72.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.84% or 22.30 to trade at $1234.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.73% to 1.1395, while EUR/GBP fell 1.05% to 0.8785.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.73% at 96.19.
