Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.66% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 2.83% or 0.295 points to trade at 10.725 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) added 2.57% or 0.160 points to end at 6.380 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was up 2.23% or 0.0820 points to 3.7640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which fell 1.92% or 0.083 points to trade at 4.251 at the close. Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) declined 1.19% or 0.09 points to end at 7.12 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) was down 1.00% or 0.14 points to 13.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 220 to 150 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.01% or 0.71 to $71.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $78.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.76% or 9.20 to trade at $1202.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1743, while EUR/GBP rose 1.18% to 0.8980.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 93.83.
