Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 3.31% or 0.40 points to trade at 12.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) added 3.13% or 0.1080 points to end at 3.5640 and Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) was up 2.89% or 0.290 points to 10.320 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI), which fell 3.04% or 0.1180 points to trade at 3.7620 at the close. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 1.96% or 0.054 points to end at 2.698 and Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) was down 1.58% or 0.150 points to 9.365.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 224 to 135 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.55% or 0.31 to $56.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.29% or 0.18 to hit $62.40 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 7.68 to trade at $1282.98 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1741, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8874.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.89.
