Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which rose 4.22% or 4.65 points to trade at 114.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) added 3.31% or 0.37 points to end at 11.55 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) was up 2.22% or 0.230 points to 10.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Snam (MI:SRG), which fell 1.68% or 0.061 points to trade at 3.573 at the close. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 1.41% or 0.0084 points to end at 0.5854 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) was down 0.63% or 0.023 points to 3.624.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 171 to 171 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.41% or 0.0084 to 0.5854.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.01% or 0.69 to $69.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.98% or 0.75 to hit $77.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.00 to trade at $1211.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1698, while EUR/GBP fell 0.89% to 0.9005.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 94.56.
